apropos

i bought i really beautiful journal tonight at one of my favorite bookstores. i couldn't resist because it has a pretty flower design shaped to look like taiwan, and along the spine it says "我的台灣" (my taiwan).

when i got it home and opened it i realized there was a quote inside on the front page. it reads:

" 人無法選擇自然的故鄉 , 但是可以選擇心靈的故鄉 "

that roughly (and not as eloquently) translates to: "a man can't choose his natural homeland, but he can choose his homeland in his own heart."

hmmm....how appropriate. i'm glad i bought it.
