newness in kaohsiung

sweetie and i high-speed railed it down to 高雄 over the weekend to say goodbye to my dear friends who are moving (back) to the US for a couple years. they had a HUGE going-away party, and it was great to see everyone!

we also went to the ginormous dream mall (夢時代) ~ kaohsiung's newest mall and supposedly the largest in asia. i believe it. it was monstrous.
it has a hello kitty ferris wheel......and marks & spencer!...and even baskin robbins! who knew? it definitely felt like a mall in the states!kaohsiung's definitely come a long way since i arrived five years ago! check this out: k-town's first MRT stop!

    Thanks for the photos of Kaohsiung Beth. It's cool to see all the changes since I left. But sad to see old friends leaving.
